OFG Customs LONG SHOT
The LONG SHOT is an optical adapter that allows you to use Full Frame/Large Format/Vista Vision lenses, and retain the full field of view, depth of field, and character of those lenses onto the 16mm format. It was designed specifically to use with PL mount 16mm cameras like the ARRI 416, ARRI SR3, AATON Xtera, AATON XTR Prod, AATON Minima, Bolex H16 and more. You now have 10 times the lens options for 16mm film, as well as the ability to capture a completely new look, no one has ever seen for 16mm. This truly is 16mm reimagined.
In additional to spherical lenses, the Long Shot allows you to take advantage of Full Frame 1.5x anamorphic lenses, giving you the character, the striking depth of field, and bokeh of Full Frame anamorphic lenses. On Super 16mm film, this results in de-squeezed images with a final aspect ratio of 2.49:1, which means minimal cropping to get to the classic 2:40:1 anamorphic aspect ratio.
The Long Shot has swappable mounts including PL, LPL, Canon EF, Nikon F, Canon FD, BNCR, OCT-19, and more! Mounts are shimmed to spec, to insure all lenses will have accurate focus marks. The Long Shot has 3-Pin Fischer ports with remote R/S, as well as 2-Pin ports to power accessories. It has a full cage for attaching accessories like focus motors, monitors, EVFs, top handles, range finders, and more.
The Long Shot has its own internal exposure control that DOES NOT affect depth of field or cause any color shift. This means you most likely will not have to worry about using ND filters for brighter scenes, which will also save you time on set. It allows you to do “iris racks” without affecting your depth of field, for example in a scene where the camera has to travel from Day Interior to Day Exterior.
